Keeping a Bichon Frise Well Behaved.

Because the Bichon Frise is adorable, it’s a common choice of families with little children. .It sheds only very little and is one of few hypoallergenic dogs.It is wonderful with children and plays with everyone in the family. It can be trained and proves to be a good house-minder.

Like any other pets Bichon Frises must be trained early on.In fact, it is best to start training your Bichon Frise immediately after bringing the dog home.

If it rouses your interest, read this information on Tips to Stop Dog Licking.

Crate-training Your Bichon Frise.

When you first bring him home, present the crate to your dog.Choose a crate with enough room and is cozy.To serve your purpose, find a crate with enough room for a big dog.Pad the crate with old towels to make it comfortable.Let your new pet get over chewing prior to buying him anything more expensive.

The crate serves its purpose very well.In the same way you see your room, you want your dog to regard the crate as his room.Use the crate for pleant things only; not for punishing your dog. Some time soon your dog will view the crate as a comfortable, safe place. And when he indded does, that serves you well. The crate prevents your Bichon from getting out of hand when you’re not around.

The Pot and Your Dog.

Inspite of being intelligent and obedient pets, your dog needs consistent frequency.Being small dogs, you will be making frequent trips outside when potty-training.Observe your pup keenly the first week. When he shows signs of needing to defecate, take him outside to his designated potty area in the yard.Repeat your potty command while the dog is eliminating and pat him for doing it.Some time soon, your dog will start to associate the command with the potty. When still in the house and the dog unintentionally poofs, take him outside to the deposit spot and state the command sternly.

The Bully Dog Syndrome.

When you’re walking with your dog and he sees another dog, that rouses his insecurities.Unfortunately for small dogs, they display their insecurity by loud howling and barking, keeping the other dog on guard. On his own, your little bichon might end up in a nasty fight with a much larger pitbull. That’s a very disturbing picture. So when you and your dog are out for a stroll, bear these in mind.

Hold your dog with a leash to maintain control. The leash keeps your dog in place.

Let your pet feel your calm confidence especially when other dogs are present.Your dog models after you.If you’re not bothered, you dog feels the same way, too. That takes care of the insecurity and dispels the need for bullying the other dogs.

Introduce your bichon to the other.Speak at a low voice while holding your dog at a safe distance from the other dog.
